The conference will shed light on cultural diplomacy from a variety of perspectives and will launch a discussion on its definition and scope of activities. First and foremost, to explore the potential for culture, art, music and other cultural means to provide consistent (cultural diplomacy) tools for fostering mutual understanding and building trust among a foreign public.
A unique point of reference will be the Eurovision, the implications and significance of the song contest in the cultural diplomacy sphere. One of the main goals will be placing the value of diversity in the heart of the multi-sectoral meeting through the fostering of collaboration between spheres of culture, diplomacy and business.
The event will also be open to the public and to the media and will hold 'People's Europe' Students Photography exhibition.

What is CDF?
The Cultural Diplomacy Forum (CDF) was established with the purpose of creating a space for research and discussion on different aspects of Cultural Diplomacy.
The Forum aims to act as a bridge between academia and the policy-making sphere, as well as the public and private sectors, in the cultural diplomacy arena.
The annual conference aims to offer a fruitful meeting point between diplomats, cultural representatives, researchers and organizations holding a shared interest in cultural policy. The conference offers a unique innovative format emphasizing collaboration and dialogue between parties towards the promotion of research and practical tools of cultural diplomacy.

The Eurovision, held this year in Tel Aviv, will serve as a unique case study and a frame of reference for the conference themes. This event will be followed by annual conferences marking the peak of the forum's yearly activities.
