The conference will shed light on cultural diplomacy from a variety of perspectives and will launch a discussion on its definition and scope of activities. First and foremost, to explore the potential for culture, art, music and other cultural means to provide consistent (cultural diplomacy) tools for fostering mutual understanding and building trust among a foreign public.
A unique point of reference will be the Eurovision, the implications and significance of the song contest in the cultural diplomacy sphere. One of the main goals will be placing the value of diversity in the heart of the multi-sectoral meeting through the fostering of collaboration between spheres of culture, diplomacy and business.
The event will also be open to the public and to the media and will hold 'People's Europe' Students Photography exhibition.

?מהו הפורום לדיפלומטיה תרבותית
הפורום הפורום לדיפלומטיה תרבותית מציב במרכז פעילותו את הצורך בפיתוח מרחב לדיון באספקטים השונים, תאורטיים ופרקטיים, הקשורים בדיפלומטיה תרבותית.
מטרת הפורום להוות גשר בין האקדמיה לספירה הציבורית, קובעי המדיניות ודיפלומטים, הסקטור הציבורי והסקטור הפרטי, אשר מרחב פעילותם מכיל או משיק לתחומי הדיפלומטיה התרבותית.
הכנסים השנתיים מטרתם לקיים נקודת מפגש בין דיפלומטים, נציגי תרבות, חוקרים וארגונים אשר חולקים עניין במדיניות תרבות ודיפלומטיה תרבותית. הכנס מציע פורמט חדשני וייחודי אשר מדגיש שיתוף פעולה ודיאלוג בין גופים, בכדי לקדם את המחקר והכלים היישומיים בלב הדיפלומטיה התרבותית.

מפגשים מרתקים ודוברים מעוררי השראה ביום שלם של מרחב שיח מגוון ונקודת מפגש ייחודית בין דיפלומטים, אקדמאים ואישים מתחום התרבות, החברה והעסקים.
הכנס יציב זרקור על תחום הדיפלומטיה התרבותית ממגוון רחב של נקודות מבט וישיק את הדיון על הגדרת המושג, היקפו ותחומי הפעילות הנוגעים בו. הכנס יבקש לבחון את הפוטנציאל של תרבות, אומנות, מוסיקה ואמצעים תרבותיים אחרים, בספירה הדיפלומטית ובזירה החברתית- תרבותית, כחלק ממערך כלים לטיפוח הבנה הדדית ובניית אמון בקרב ציבור זר. הדגש יושם על המגוון והגיוון בתחום הדיפלומטיה התרבותית והמשמעויות השונות הגלומות במושג החל מדרכי תקשורת, סוגי קהלים, שחקנים, כלים מגוונים והשימוש בהם במגרש הבינלאומי.
האירוויזיון ישמש כנקודת ייחוס ייחודית ועכשווית, תוך מבט על ההשלכות והמשמעויות של התחרות בתחום הדיפלומטיה התרבותית. אחת המטרות המרכזיות תהיה להציב מגוון בלב המפגש, באמצעות טיפוח שיתוף הפעולה בין תחומי התרבות, הדיפלומטיה והעסקים.
